Loosely translated, Tikkun Olam is about the Repair of the World. Which feels more imperative every day.
As I write this note, I am reeling from YET ANOTHER school shooting. A song called Numb is playing on the radio.
Numb is exactly how I was feeling. Numb. Helpless. Angry. Frustrated. Small.
I am one person and there are SO MANY problems in the world. How can I alone affect change? What can I do to protect children?
And the answer is what it has always been…
Do what’s in front of you.
Do what is YOURS to do.
If it is yours to get on a plane and fly to Uvalde, Texas and hug survivors… Do it.
If it is yours to write a letter to your senator, or use your podium to call them out… Do it.
If it is yours to post pictures of beautiful things on your Facebook page and remind people they are loved… Do that.
We are each more powerful than we realize. What you do MATTERS. How you behave MATTERS.
What is yours to do?
P.S. Sometimes it’s hard to do it on your own. I’d love to hear what you are working on. You can go to my calendar at any time to book a collaborative session.
