I went to Houston last week.
Houston is (one of) my happy place(s).
I love it because I have community there. Not one, but multiple.
When I go to Houston, I am surrounded by people who love me and tell me so.
This picture is from the room I stayed in.
My dear friend sets it up for me every time I visit.
There is something very important that happens to me when I go to Houston – people are not simply grateful for my friendship – they actively make sure that I know it.
They rearrange schedules.
They give me rides.
They gather.
They DEMONSTRATE their love & gratitude.
One of the things that I get to teach in the Extreme Leadership Accelerator is HOW to demonstrate gratitude so that it’s RECEIVED.
Not enough to say it – but to SHOW it.
If your active gratitude could use a boost, check out our upcoming program!
In other news, I have recently become certified as a Life Inventory Assessment Coach. This amazing tool helps you identify your values and quantify how you are living them – are you doing what you say is most important? If not, what is getting in the way?! It is my privilege to work with people using this amazing tool.
